Gathering and Use of Information
Financial information, including without limitation any credit card or bank account data, is not collected by or available to Consumer Translations LLC. We have intentionally selected a method of credit card payment where the credit card data entry page is provided by the processing bank, and that data is not available to us. We will not contract in the future for such data to be available to us, and if in any case such data were made available, it will not be stored or transmitted to any other parties.
Marketing information gathered by Consumer Translations LLC (“Consumer Translations”) is used to help better serve our customers, and work with translators and suppliers. For non-financial information, we gather and store only that information that our customers and service providers knowingly provide – name, address, translation history, etc. Consumer Translations does not share, sell or rent this information to others without your express permission, except in cases when we are legally obligated to disclose such information.
Cookies
Consumer Translations may use cookies for the sole purpose of enabling automated activities, store and track passwords, and review navigation patterns.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use this site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, manage our website, track user's navigation, and gather general demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Online Security
Online security is enhanced by our use of firewalls protecting all of Consumer Translations servers, whether those maintained in-house or via hosting services. The physical servers that store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure facility that only authorized network administrators have access to. This facility provides security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and protects our servers against power outages by using automated backup power systems.
California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
The kinds of information that are collected, as well as those not collected, are in the above paragraphs, including without limitation "Gathering and Use of Information". Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent, except in the sole case that we are under a legal order to do so.
If you wish to review and make changes to your stored information, simply send an email to privacy@consumertranslations.com, and we will respond within ten days.
